Overview

The Entrepreneurs' Fund III (TEF III) is a Silicon Valley based, early stage venture fund solely focused on Web 2.0 Software startups. TEF III is the latest in a series of successful early stage funds which include The Entrepreneurs' Fund Private Portfolio (TEFPP), The Entrepreneurs' Fund I (TEF I), The Entrepreneurs' Fund II (TEF II), and The Entrepreneurs' Growth Fund (TEGF).

TEF III has a truly unique culture; this culture is an extension of Mr. Webber’s extensive background as a strategy consultant. He started his career at McKinsey & Company, the global leader in strategy consulting and went on to found, build and manage R. B. Webber & Company, the leading boutique strategy consulting firm in Silicon Valley between 1980 to 2001.

A second unique characteristic of the TEF III culture is derived from the Fund’s roots in the investment models of original Silicon Valley venture capital firms. More specifically, Jeff Webber, TEF III’s Managing Director, had the good fortune of working with, and providing strategic consulting services to founding industry pioneers - like Len Baker and Bill Draper of Sutter Hill Ventures, Wally Davis of Mayfield Fund and Alpha Partners, Fred Warren and Kip Hagopian at Brentwood Associates, and Don Federman at Charles River Ventures. This period of venture investing was characterized by small collegial partnerships, where the partners were experienced hands-on investors. These firms managed modest sums of capital (often times sub $100 million) and took pride in their close relationships with both their limited partners and portfolio company management teams. This is precisely the profile of the TEF III culture.
